    Default About RAF night intruder mission France / night 28 -29 November 1942

    Hi,
    I would like to identify the RAF night intruder unit (probably Mosquito) which strafed/bombed central France : exactly vicinity of the city of Châteauroux.
    Date : night of (Saturday) 28- (Sunday) 29 November 1942

    Thank you for your response !
    It seems an airdrome and a civilian car (one wounded). That's all I found in French archives. there was a polemic between German and French authorities because French thought it was a German airplane. But airdrom held by German and bullets were found with RAF marks...

    23sqdn were operating on intruder ops that night. One of their aircraft was operating N/E of Chateauroux near Bourges, and attacked two trains.
