Default 2nd TAF No 25 Sector

I have a meteorologist serving with No 25 Sector in 2nd TAF between 4 October 1944 and 14 March 1945. I'd appreciate help in identifying his geographical location.

Many thanks, Col. One last question if I may (should have included it in my first post), was HQ 86 Group located in/near Berlin in March 1945?

    Brian,

86 Group? I have no knowledge that it ever existed!

    Default HQ 85 Group

Not doing very well at the moment, am I gentlemen? A typo error on my part, the query was about 'HQ 85 Group'.

Edit. A belated bit of digging suggests the unit could not have reached Berlin until late April/early May, but I'd still like to know where it was located in March

Perhaps you need to take a break for the seasonal celebrations...?
According to the Sturtivant/Hamlin FT&SU bible on 12/10/44 85Group became 85 (Maintenance and Training) Group with an advanced HQ at Luftgau. By 20/11/45 it was at Blankensee/Hamburg.

    Happy New Year

    Default HQ 2TAF 26 May 1944

You didn't disappoint, Steve - I knew someone would home in on seasonal celebrations, but many thanks and Season's Greetings in return. Does Sturtivant et al (or any other source) provide any clues as to the location of the following:

    1. No 483 Group Control Centre on 10 Jan 1944
    2. HQ 2 TAF on 26 May 1944
    3. HQ 85 Group on 7 June 1944
    4. No 148 Wing on 14 June 1944

I appreciate 3+4 were mobile on the June dates and may or may not have been in Normandy.

PS. I don't think I've made any typos this time!

Answering some of my own questions, I think 2+3 were Hillingdon House, Uxbridge, and 4 was West Malling.

Where was 148 Wing in March 1945?
