    But I can tell you that Mcquade died of acute appendicitis in no 5 CCS Beuvry

    Ouch, so the earlier assumption he died in that fire accident is incorrect! Will have to update this correction

    Yes I wonder if someone else died in fire - need to check 2 Sqn Roll on Honour again in book

    Any time Paul . Iíve been squirreling stuff away for 30 years as I come across it . I had this idea way back then but in a slightly different form of filling in the casualty details alongside their entry in CWCG registers so I could walk through cemeteries going : ď oh so thatís what happened to you mate ď but like all ideas time conquers all

    Iíll see what Iíve got on Sankey . But ! I donít have a filing system . Just a massive mound of dusty paper and mouldy exercise books full of jottings. Itís only this years earlier covid that gave me the time to start traveling through it all but to find one bloke the database has nothing on, Iím looking at 199 that it does !

    I did notice just looking at the Sankey thread on here that I recently finished off 1939 bar one man including another suicide -Phillip H Warren who seems to be the first man to die in ww2 or even before

    Jon thanks for the update on your files - yes I can see we just 1 unaccounted airman from 1939 now - Wow !
