    F/L WATTS, navigator, DFC
P/O PACK, air bomber, DFM (only survivor, evader)
    W/O REDFERN, wop-ag, MiD
    W/O LOWE, air gunner, DFC
P/O EVANS, air gunner (no award, buried in Longuenesse, while the other 5 are buried in Millam. Probably survived the crash, taken to the hospital in St Omer where he died of his wounds, hence buried in Longuenesse (St Omer) souvenir cemetery.

Initials and service numbers are in CWGC.

I was thinking of W/C BARRON as well, but didn't have the time to check the Squadron ORB and "By such deeds" and "Chorley volume 5".

    Neil,
I have no posting in dates for this crew but they were relatively newcomers to the squadron, having done only 4 previous op to the Wizernes operation on which they were lost.
    14th June, Le Havre.
    15th June, Lens.
    23rd June, Coubronne.
24th June, Middle Straete Constructional Works.
    5th July, Wizernes, missing.

You might be interested in getting additional information from P/O E.H. Pack's Evasion file which is available to purchase from the N/A at discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C14078746

Riches, Watts, Pack and Lowe were crewed together with 97sqdn (1943) as to the others, i don't know.

    Hello

I can provide Pack's evasion report from Kew. Also pictures of the graves.

It was one of the Squadron's O.R.B.s I still have to access at Kew in order to compile their tour, with another 635 Squadron crew lost in my research area in June, and also Bazalgette (of VC fame) who came down early August. The latter is not a local crash for me but I visited his grave and the crash site.

e-mail me for Pack's report. My e-mail is in my profile.

    Neil,

Have you tried contacting Chris Coverdale, author of the 635 Squadron book, and web site. I have his telephone number and email address if required.
