    Default HQ 21 Group

Can anybody enlighten me about HQ 21 Group for the period Mar '41 to Oct '42 ? Where was it ? etc. In particular the Chief Technical Officer Wg Cdr/Gp Capt L.W. Cannon. I am researching this chap and I do not have much info for this period of his career. Out of interest he was the first ex Aircraft Apprentice to achieve Air Rank.

    Hi Phil

I'm afraid you're getting 21 "units" mixed up. Leslie William Cannon was Chief Technical Officer, HQ No 21 GROUP.

Thanks for that. I have already seen the web page that you suggested. However, from info I received from the RAF Museum at Hendon it listed 21 OTU as one of his postings. On reflection I do think that you are correct. Thanks again.
