    Hi,trying to find out a little bit more about this chap for a friend who is a relative of his, awarded DFC 5/5/45 .think he was with 138 sqdrn and was crew of sqldr tcs cooke any more info would be fantastic ( just to add js reeds brother h h reed was awarded the george cross.

    Op: SOE

    T/o 1930 Tempsford on Operation Jockey 5 and set course for Marseilles. Abandoned, due to icing and an engine fire, crashing near Mantaille (Drome), 37 km W of Valence. This was a most experienced crew with a combined total of 291 sorties. S/L Cooke had flown with 104 Squadron on operations over NW Europe, his DFM being Gazetted on 23 September 1941. All had arrived at Tempsford on 10 September 1943.
