The above was the Flight Engineer of my Uncle's 7 man crew that was shot down on the night of 22/23rd June 1943 over Germany, all the crew were killed. The plane was Halifax V DK-139 Coded ZL-P from RAF Leeming of 427 Squadron, 6 Group Bomber Command. He was born Apr/May/June quarter of 1920 in Christchurch, Hampshire. He was one of only two RAF crew the other five being RCAAF. He was 23 years old at the time of his death in June 1943.
I have managed to acquire individual photos of the other 6 crew members and Stanley Booth is the last to identify/find by photo. I have searched for any info re OTU'S/RAF service etc. with no success. Can anyone offer any assistance/direction in finding a photo and possibly a service history for him that might even enable a photo of him in another Squadron being found? Thank you.
