    The pilots killed when two Gloster Meteor III aircraft collided over the R.A.F. Station, Bentwaters, near Woodbridge, Suffolk, yesterday were F/O J. M. Butson and F/Lieut. J. L. Melia.


    LYLE, Sinclair - W/O - 1671332 - the Motherwell Times of June 28th 1946 has the following announcement:

    LYLE, previously reported missing, now presumed to have lost his life as the result of an aircraft accident off the south coast of France, on January 15, 1946, Warrant Officer Sinclair Lyle, R.A.F.

    From 35 Squadron ORB:

    KANE: Harry Kenneth Kane suddenly died at midday on 15/01/1946; a post mortem examination revealed that death was due to acute hemolytic streptococcal pneumonia. His funeral took place on 21/01/1946

    500383 Sister Sheila Mary LONG RAAFNS, of No.4 RAAF Hospital, Sale, Victoria, died of an unspecified illness at No.2 RAAF Hospital, The Showgrounds, Ascot Vale, Victoria, on 15th January, 1946.

    Margaret Stuart Bryant 2130855 , an equipment assistant attached to 13 MU, admitted to Number 1 hospital at RAF Henlow dangerously ill on 1 January where she died of a sub arachnoid heamorhage
