    Default 18/10/1944 RK812 Spitfire LF.IX 1 Ferry Pool

    Hi !

Several sources mention that this Spitfire of 1 Ferry Pool had an engine problem during the approach and bellylanded near St.Hubert. This is however a rather popular name for a village....
Was this St.Hubert in The Netherlands, Belgium or France ?
Any other information sa name + fate of the pilot are more than welcome.

    Many thanks in advance !

    best regards

    Luc

    Luc,

RK812 appears in the 1944 loss register on www.nimh.nl, so the Dutch St. Hubert (NE part of the Noord-Brabant province) becomes likely...

    Groet,

    Leendert
