GRUNDY, Ronald John - LAC - 130816 - the National Probate Calendar has the following:

GRUNDY, John Ronald, of 34 Cornhill, Allestree, Derbyshire, died 19 January 1946 on war service.

John R. Grundy is on FreeBMD, his death being registered at Derby.

MARTIN John - LAC - 992639 - he is on the Scotland's People Statutory Deaths Register, but the scan is pretty unintelligible! I can make out he died at The Infirmary, Kilmarnock, but that's about it.

WHITTLE, John Francis Colthup - F/Sgt(A/G) - 1394221 - the National Probate Calendar states that he died at Charing Cross Hospital, London.

WATTLEWORTH, Philip Hunter - F/O (Flg/Instr) - 187290 - the National Probate Calendar states that he died at R.A.F. Hospital, South Rauceby, Lincolnshire

    Regards

    A quick update

MARTIN John - LAC - 992639 - the kind folks at Scotland's People have sent over a re-scan, and he died at 1.50 p.m. at The Infirmary, the result of a Thoracic Neoplasm. His occupation is listed as 'Boot and Shoe Operative (Leading Aircraftman, Royal Air Force)'.

Curiously the next entry but one, on the same page, died one day later, at the same place and of the same cause, and was a Boot and Shoe maker...

    Regards

    Simon
