Default German records of Allied Crashes

    Hi All

Does anyone know if there is an archive or database of German documents that describe the shooting down or crash site investigations of Allied aircraft? I would be very interested in seeing if any details of my uncles crash could be found in German reports.

I have seen references to captured German documents in his service record, but not the records themselves

    Thanks,

    David

You could also ask a question specific to your interest on the 12 O'Clock High Forum, David (http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/index.php). The forum has specific sections dealing with the Luftwaffe and the German viewpoint.

    Hello David
Unfortunately the KE files (German crash reports) are owned by the Air Historical Branch RAF.

It will cost you 30 pounds to ask about it, you have to fill in their request form and there is no guarantee they will make a copy for you.
    Sorry to disappoint you.
