    PAPUA NEW GUINEA.

    150526 LAC Vincent Daniel MAHONY RAAF.

    150526 LAC (Fitter/Armourer) Vincent Daniel MAHONY RAAF, of No.100 Sqn RAAF, was killed on 24 January, 1946, when stores of bombs from Tadji and Wewak were being readied for shipping, a 20-lb fragmentation bomb was dropped and detonated. In the resulting explosion, LAC Mahony was killed and 84895 LAC Milton Purves BOSTON RAAF and LAC 40856 William Armour LEWIS RAAF were injured. LAC Mahony is buried in Lae (not Law) War Cemetery, P.N.G.

    Hello

    ZIEGLER, Hans - German Air Force - he's listed in the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website as 'Zeigler', Corporal, German Air Force. He died at 5.45 p.m. at the Infirmary, Paisley (originally from Gotha, Germany), age 34, as the result of a fractured pelvis and internal injuries suffered in a collision between two motor vehicles.

    MORIN, William Francis - F/Sgt - 7843 - RCAF

    Deceased No. 5 E. Depot Hospital, Moncton, NB. Cause of death was acute alcohol poisoning caused by mixing DX duplicating fluid with alcohol.

    Also killed from drinking the same adulterated spirits was R135415 LAC Josaphat Aime Maurice MARTINEAU, both of No. 10 Release Centre, Moncton.
