    Default 1094824 F/Sgt DRAYCOTT Casualty

    Sydney Draycott enlisted around 1939.
On 11 January 1944 he lost his life whilst serving at 1 OAFU flying an Anson.
Would you expect a Pilot who enlisted in 1939 and serving at that unit in 1944 to have been tour expired.
Your thoughts will be much appreciated.

    Hi Colin,

Given he enlisted as aircrew in 1939, I would think he would have been tour expired by 1944, he could have done two tours by then.

    Regards,

    John.

Thank you John. I suspect it unlikely he served in training all that time, I think I will have to invest in an application for his records.
