Depart 5ED/ Perth 11/12/1942 by train to 1ED/ Melbourne
Melbourne - San Francisco 06/03/1943 by ship "SS New Amsterdam" with a stop in NZ
From San Francisco to Taunton (Massachussetts) by train then
Taunton - Halifax (Canada) by train
Halifax to UK (where ?) debarked 17/04/1943 ship "Ile de France"

I look after photo de the 2 ship;

Is the date of 17/04/1943 correct for the Ile de France; the ship's movements show that it was in Durban on that date. However, it did dock at Greenock from New York around that date in 1944

That is very odd ... I will do a bit more digging. Do you have a departure date from Halifax?

A bit more information on the New Amsterdam ... it arrived in San Fransisco from Melbourne on 22/03/1943

The correct name of the ship is Nieuw Amsterdam.
