Default Explanation of "DA 43 Grp"

    Hi all,

I would like to ask for help with explanation of following record "DA 43 Grp" which I have found in the Aircraft Movement Card.
I suppose it was some kind of Depot within the No. 43 (Maintenance) Group but I was unable to identify it properly so far.

I am also interested what was purpose of this Depot?
A Wellington has been taken off strength of an operational Squadron and posted there in March 1941. To next unit - a training one - was allotted only in August 1941.
So I have doubts why it took so long (5 months)? Were there done some works (like a total overhaul) or the plane was just "sitting" there?

    Any help much appreciated.

    TIA

Think of it as a paper depot.

It's actually Deposit Account recording that the aircraft is no longer available for use by the original unit and cannot be included in IE/IR returns.

The ownership of the aircraft was transferred to No.43 Group while actions were done. This can be storage at MU, storage on site, maintenance either on/off unit by MU/Contractor Party or combinations of all.
