    CWGC has 22nd March 1946, Krzystka's has 22nd February 1946. Which is correct I wonder ?

Also this date Hudson V - AM797 - RAE - BZG MapRef A413645, a/c force landed at Gemen, Munster with seven aboard. Only one fatality was the only civilian passenger, Mr. A.D.Fisher.
Not in CWGC or Geoff's site's as far as I could see.

    Hello

    UK
CANDY, Percival George - Sgt - 516224 - the Wells Journal reported the following on March 1st 1946:

    COMMISSIONAIRE AT WELLS REGAL
Death of Mr. P. G. Candy
The death occurred at his home at Rock House, High Street, Wells, on Friday last, of Mr. Percival George Candy, at the comparatively early age of 31. He had been ill about a week.
Mr. Candy came to Wells from the Amesbury district of Wiltshire in 1936 as Commissionaire at the Regal Cinema, where he remained until August, 1939. As a reservist he joined the R.A.F. and went to France, serving as a gunner, and attaining the rank of sergeant. He was mentioned in despatches in January, 1941 and was invalided out of the Service in October, 1943.

Hudson V - AM797 - RAE - the accident was reported in the newspapers at the time, which all seemed to carry the same release. This is from the Aberdeen Press, February 28th 1946:

    Ministry Officials in Plane Crash
Five officials of the Ministry of Supply and Aircraft production were seriously injured, one subsequently dying from his injuries, in a Hudson plane crash near Gemen, Western Germany, during a heavy snow storm last Friday. Occupants of the plane were:-
Passengers - Mr. A. D. Fisher, Ministry of Aircraft Production, died of injuries; Dr. D. H. Hall, Ministry of Supply; Mr. F. A. Emery, Ministry of Aircraft Production; Flt. Lt. J Wood - all dangerously injured; Wing Commander R. Smelt, Ministry of Aircraft Production, slightly injured.
Crew - Pilot Flt. Lieut. J. Lawson; navigator Warrant Officer S. V. Brazier; wireless operator L. M. Drew - all seriously injured.
Next of kin have been informed.

    Regards

    Simon
