Default Bomb Selector Panel Ref. 5D 656

    Hi all,

I would like to ask if anybody has some materials/manuals about Bomb Switch Selector or
Bomb Selector Panel Ref. 5D 656 (I do not know what is the correct name)?

Was this equipment use also in Wellington bombers?

I will be very grateful for any instructions how to use this equipment and also its photos.

    TIA

    Hi Pavel
Look at http://www.cairdpublications.com/scrap/armbitbombs/armbitbombs.htm, scroll down below the Hand Grenades!! and the Bomb selector is illustrated. The selector would have been used to set the order in which the bombs left the a/c because there would have been a good chance that they were loaded into the bomb bay with an eye to weight distribution and the Cof G of the a/c, and not necessarily to suit the release. Remember the a/c often flew close to max permitted weight at take-off and how that weight was distributed and disposed of was important.
    Regards
