Hello,
Sgt. G B Russell became POW during the raid against Dusseldorf on 1.8.1942. He flew in Hampden N9062 GL-WE of 14 OTU.
To get access to his service record, I need more information about him, like full name and service number. I actually have no idea how to find these. Can anybody help?
Thanks.
Best wishes.
Marcel

Hi, Hampden N9062 crashed in the outskirts of Moergestel which is 15 miles east of Tilburg(The Netherlands). Only Sgt L.Lobb was heavy wounded and died later in hospital. Sgt E.F.Collins(RAAF), Sgt M.S.Whiting(RAAF) and Sgt G.B.Russell survived but ended up as a POW. What's your relation to this crewmember???
Cheers,
Adrian
Hi,
sorry for answering so late. I have been in hospital for a few days.
