Default POW Identification - Stalag Luft 1

I'm trying to find any information on the following, who were all held at Stalag Luft 1, in Barrack Block 6:

    K. C. Matthews RAAF

    P. M. Platten RAAF

    J. C. Payne RAF

I have no details on them at all.

    Many thanks

    Hello,

    K. C. Matthews RAAF.

    MATTHEWS, Keith Clarence. F/O AUS423805 (O22068)
    Born: Pennant Hills, NSW 3-5-1923.

    24-6-1944
    No.183 Sqn RAF
    Typhoon MN576:HF-E

Attack on railway target south of Bernay. Encountered flak, engine failed.

AUS423805 F/O (Pilot) Keith Clarence MATTHEWS RAAF - PoW (L1 Barth Vogelsang, PoW No.4707)

Captured after landing. Returned home 9-9-1945.

O22068 F/L K C Matthews RAAF (of No.77 Sqn RAAF), was presumed killed on 14-2-1951 at Taegu in Korea when his Mustang (A68-812) probably collided in thick cloud with A5166 P3 Sinclair Sutherland SQUIERS RAAF (Mustang A68-796 - also presumed killed).

No one by the name of P. M. PLATTEN served in the RAAF during WWII. (I have seen http://www.merkki.com/the_roommates.htm - no mention, at all, here: http://www.merkki.com/PageP.htm ).

    One possibility, is:

    AUS422524 F/L (Nav.) Stanley Michael SLATTER RAAF. 10/11-4-1944 - Tergnier - No.466 Sqn RAAF - Halifax III HX274:HD-X - sole survivor of 7. PoW - Dulag Luft (April '44 - 6 days), L1 Barth Vogelsang (April '44 to May 1945 - 370 days), PoW No.4595 - BCL5/169. Slatter resided at 41 Bower St. Manly, NSW.

    Might I suggest that, J. C. Payne RAF, is actually, 129151 F/O James Campion PYNE RAFVR - PoW - L1 Barth, PoW No.1450. Another sole survivor! 22/23-10-1943 No.10 Sqn RAF - Halifax II HX174:ZA-N - Kassel - BCL4/364.

That's superb thank you. I know there were a total of 8 men in the room but I only have the nickname of one and the first name of the other. I have identified the others, I was lucky enough to meet one of them on Saturday.

    Thanks again
