    Default AVM Norman E. Hoad

    Hi all,

I was trying to find out more information about this pilot and/or to get touch wih him/his family but I am geeting only a very view info about this high-ranking officer.
The only info I was able to get is that he probably died in 2011 BUT I am unable to find out his obituary online! Seems to me a little bit strange... or it is only "fault between the chair and keyboard"?:)

Any help in this matter much appreciated

    Pavel, Hi,

He is/was a Life Vice President of the Air Crew Association (ACA) in UK - http://www.aircrew.org.uk/
That organisation underwent some changes at the end of last year, but I think is still running. You might get some info from the Webmaster?

New Info: I knew I knew him from somewhere, but couldn't remember exactly where. Malcolm's RAFWEB came to my rescue. In the late 60's I used to have to go to inspect the Met Office at RAF Abingdon. Gp Capt N E Hoad was Station Master at Abingdon from 12 Jan 68 to 3 Jan 69! Promoted Air Commodore 1 Jan 69!!!

    Hi

I have a biography on him but it's not on the site yet as I haven't confirmed whether he's still alive.

I have a possible address for him
