Default F/Sgt AD Mackintosh 214 Sqn

    Good Morning,

The abovementioned NCO became a PoW on 14.03.45 while being part of the crew of Fortress HB802. Does anyone know his full identidity?
    Thanks

Don't know his first names but that was his 33rd op (as listed in the ORB), including one which was cancelled over the North Sea due to the weather.

He was a Special Operator flying (that time) with Rix's crew. They weren't his 'normal' crew and I think this was the first time he'd flown with them.

Spec Op's didn't really have their 'own' crew but often flew with different crews as required. Mackintosh had, however, flown quite a few of his previous ops with a couple of 214's crews.

    Hi there,
Found Mackintosh's service number via the casualty files of his R.A.A.F.crew mates and confirmed it on the loss card for the aircraft as 1875517. AIR78/101,part 1,page 790 gives his full name as Alexander David Mackintosh.
    Regards,Mark Simpson.
