Lawford Cyclist Killed
IN COLLISION WITH MOTOR CAR
How a young Long Lawford man on release leave from the Fleet Air Arm met his death while cycling a few yards from his home was described at an inquest at Rugby on Wednesday. The man, Mr. Maurice William Cook [sic] (21), a fitter, 34 Livingston Avenue, Long Lawford, died from injuries received when he was in collision with a car at mid-day on Monday. The Coroner stated that no blame was attached to the driver.
Recordinfg a verdict af 'Accidental Death' the Coroner said that [the car driver] had no chance of avoiding the collision and he attached no blame to him. He expressed sympathy with the relatives.

Mabel Florence Ethel Shewry 453647 , a medically discharged Airwoman at the time of her death, died in the Hamwood hospital Salisbury , of pulmonary tuberculosis
Mabel's death certificate was sponsored by Erik Brun of the USA in her memory
