LEWIS, Cyril Edwin - LAC - 1692611 - the Chelmsford Chronicle of April 19th 1946 reported the following:

    Airman Killed in Overturned Jeep
A verdict of accidental death was returned at a Colchester inquest on Tuesday on Cyril Edwin Lewis, 23, R.A.F., aircraftman, stationed at Earls Colne, who was fatally injured when the jeep in which he and six others were travelling back to camp overturned at Coggeshall on the night of April 7th.
The Coroner said that the accident was in a measure caused by the jeep being somewhat overloaded.
