Dennis Grundy's death was registered in St Austell District in Cornwall. He died on 12th December 1944. On that day at 1630hrs a Hawker Hurricane Iic PZ834 of 1697 Air Dispatch Letter Service Flight flew out of RAF Portreath crashed at Nansladron Farm, Pentewan, St Austell. The aircraft was wrecked and the pilot killed. Presumably Dennis was that pilot.
