    Default RAF Old Catton

    Hi,

Sorry for another thread without helping anyone else...

I am looking for information on RAF Old CAtton. Home to 3260 (fighter control unit) R.Aux.A.F and No. 6 Royal Observer Corps.

Does anyone have any links where I can start looking for more information on the stn, or either of the units? The original HQ building is still standing.

    Thank you,

    NAtalie

    Hi Natalie

Assume you've seen http://www.pprune.org/military-aviat...38-1945-a.html and http://www.americanairmuseum.com/place/171413 . Number of hits on the Internet about this station.

Having done a bit of meteorological digging I suggest you treat the first link above a little carefully. There is no record of there ever being a British meteorological office at Old Catton; Met Office staffing levels were such that the organisation struggled to provide personnel for operational airfields, let alone administrative sites.
