Air 78/22 has 'BROOMFIELD Charles 1395450' and 'BM' underneath.

Not sure what the 'BM' signifies?

    Regards

    Simon,

Thanks for that Mate. Broomfield was aboard No.28 OTU Wellington IC DV613 that ditched 35m SSE of St. Catherine's Point, on the Isle of Wight, ex-leaflet dropping, Paris. I wonder if "BM" could indicate - "Boarded Medically". He is listed in Flight, August 26, 1943, p.242 - Cas. Comm. No.270, as Sgt C. Broomfield RAF: "Wounded or Injured in Action". Can't locate him after this event. Another crew member, 1338084 Sgt Richard FULTHORPE RAFVR, is listed as - "Missing, believed Killed in Action"

    Col.
