    Default Mitchell FL194, 13 O.T.U. cr. Feb 15 1944 - crew details?

    Hello everyone

A couple of online sources state that Mitchell FL194 of 13 O.T.U. crashed at Gawcott, near Buckingham, on February 15th 1944. I'm trying to pin down the make up of the crew, and have the following pencilled-in so far:

BOOTS, Henri Jean, Sergeant Vlieger, Netherlands Air Force, buried Oxford (Botley) Cemetery.

EGTER van WISSEKERKE, Jan George, Koporaal Vliegtuigmaker, Royal Netherlands Navy Air Service, buried Oxford (Botley) Cemetery.

HUDSON, David, P/O (Pilot), R.A.F.V.R., buried Eston Cemetery.

JANSEN, Henri Joseph Pierre, Officier-zeewaarnemer, Royal Netherlands Navy Air Service, buried Oxford (Botley) Cemetery.

So, can anyone confirm that this is (a) correct and (b) all of the crew?

    Many thanks,

    regards

    Simon

    Hello Simon,
Henk does not have Hudson as a member of FL194's crew.
I have him in the "Unaccounted Airmen" section for 15/2/1944 but nothing except place of burial has so far come to light.
Tonight I looked at the Air Force Lists for 1944 and 1943.
    Came up with the following.
    Nothing for 1943 ?
    Nothing for January 1944 ?
    March 1944 this entry
    General Duties P/O
    162960 - Hudson D - 14 Sept - column 1027a.

Hope that someone can come up with perhaps an obit or report of his cause of death .
    Alex

    Thanks for the replies.

I'd thought he may be one of the crew due to his death being registered in the same place as the three Ducth airmen, plus the fact that the Grave Registration Report on his CWGC page has him as being with 13 O.T.U.

Casualty Communique No. 378 in Flight Magazine of May 4th 1944 has a P/O D. Hudson listed as Killed on Active Service.

    Regards

    Simon
