    Hello,

Which Bomber did an American, serving in the RAF, bomb German occupied territory in WW2 ?
    Who was he/his fate ?
    .
    Also

    Hello Alain,
    Many thanks for the list.
I asked because some American Airmen were serving in the RAF even before WW2 started, so wondered if some had been on early Bombing missions.
I did as it happens see a book today "No Need to Die" on the subject of early Americans in RAF service, will get it soon.
From your list two stand out.
Albert D. Day, the event was prior to US entry into WW2 so as he evaded, did he travel plenty as an American or would he have to go underground as an enemy combatant ?
    The second is-
    Ted Thomas, in 1943.
I thought that some USAAF men had flown with the RAF earlier than that date ?

    Many thanks for the reply
    Alex

    Hello Col,
    Thanks for the links.
    They raise a question though.
His date of birth is given followed by home town, which is in Canada.
So was he born in the USA and then parents moved to Canada or was he a "true" Canadian ?
    Thanks
    Alex
