    Brian,

You can have Cyril BLAKE-SMITH (73807) or Stanley Thornton Blake SMITH (82870). Cyril has the hyphen, Stanley not. I would bet your money on Cyril. We had a Thornton-Smith in the Met Branch. Sometimes he used the hyphen, and sometimes not. Made searching for him a tad difficult!

    Many thanks, Peter

I have since discovered that 'Nicols/Nichols' was Victor George Nicolls, who succumbed to injuries 11/2/42.

    Cheers
    Brian
