Jim Walker Commented on http://www.rafcommands.com/archive/14050.php My father, James Connell Walker, was a flight sergeant; later warrant officer, gunnery trainer at 10 Gunners school, Walney Island. He had previously been an air gunner in Lancaster bombers. He (like so many) spoke little about the war only that he had been a mid-upper gunner and the worst feeling was when coming to breakfast the days after a raid to see so many empty tables when crews had not come home. Kevin Lynott Commented on http://www.rafcommands.com/archive/01566.php GARDNER Albert Walter Sgt 1387373 RAFVR 6/3/43 aged 30.
He was flying a Photo Reconaissance Spitfire IV on a high altitude photo training exercise to the Belfast area. He Possibly over flew Dyce airfield, now Aberdeen airport, and ran out of fuel over the North Sea. Another possibility is oxygen failure. His body was washed up in Norway. Public 2w

Boyne Annesley Senior Commented on http://www.rafcommands.com/archive/14555.php Hi Ryan. My father was Sergeant DB Annesley. I live over here in England at present.
I have a couple of photos and Dad talked about his experiences just before he died. I wouldn't mind seeing or obtaining a copy of your Grandfathers book. Boyne Annesley Public 2w

Shirley Parent Commented on http://www.rafcommands.com/archive/01157.php My late husband, Fred Parent was a crew member on the Lancaster JO-Z that was hit over Norway. The neutral Swedes allowed them to land & they were "Interred" at a hunting lodge & were well taken care of. Public 3w

Stephanie Kaczynski Commented on http://www.rafcommands.com/archive/05201.php I am chester zaleski's grand-daughter but I don't know a lot about his war days. He married a polish woman and traveled back to Maryland with her. He died in August 2005. I do know that Romaniszyn did arrive home because I have a picture of him that was sent to my grandfather. I am not sure what happened to Wozniak or Abramik but I know they went to pow camps. I have some letters from them to my grandfather but they are in polish. I only know english so it will take awhile to figure what happened. Also I know that Jankowski died on March 05, 1943 because my grandfather has a picture of his tombstone that says the date. Sydney Graham Commented on http://www.rafcommands.com/archive/15644.php I served as an RAF Medic in the 1960s when we had RAF Hospitals in UK at Nocton Hall, Ely, Halton, Uxbridge, Wroughton and Cosford and overseas at Changi, Muharraq and Akrotiri. All wre considered centres of excellence. Sadly, sucessive governments have almost obliterated the military medical services through their foolish cost-cutting decisions. Public 3w
