    Default 139 Sqn Mosquito VP182

Seeking crew details for the following loss . . .

On 10/07/48, Mosquito VP182 XD-? crashed into the North Sea 1 mile N of Heligoland, Germany during a routine night training bombing sortie. At the time of the loss the aircraft was detached from home base at Coningsby to Sylt, Germany. The Pilot is listed as F/O Martin Alfred Blamey, but for unknown reasons there is no name for the second crewman.

If anyone has access to the post war ORB's for 139 Sqn, I would be grateful for any info confirming the identity of the Navigator?

With thanks in advance for anticipated co-operation

    Tony
