Default Memorial Hamois Belgium Halifax W7653 DY-A 102 Sqn

    Hello

Yesterday 21 October at Hamois was a ceremony at the Mémorial.
This Mémorial has been refurbish with and addition of a panel
with the names of the crew and also one with explenation.
On the explenation panel the photo of 3 members are on :
    Carr, Malston and Shoebridge.
I have taken some photos if interested please send an email.

What the leteers stand for G.. & H.. for Sgt Lee ?

    Best regards

There's a 'G. H. Lee' in the Air Force P.o.W. database here, with the service number 920228:

    http://www.rafcommands.com/Ross/Air%...ery%20L_1.html

If it's the same man, Air 78/95 has LEE, George Henry, 920228.

There is an account of the incident in the book 'Nachtjagd, Defenders of the Reich' by Martin Bowman, and he refers to Lee as 'Dixie'.

    Regards

    Simon
