Default What happened do Daks KK211 and KN211

    Hello
Does anyone know, what had happened do Dakotas KK211 and KN211 post-war? I have a record of a pilot flying '211' in 1949 on a delivery flight from Malta.
    TIA

    Hi Franek,

According to internet sources KK211 was returned to the USAAF on 27/11/47 and KN211 likewise on 31/10/47 putting them outside your timeframe ?

Have you reason to not consider KP211 which became G-ALVZ in 1949 and served with Gulf Aviation?

    regards Peter

Definitely not. I have '211' delivered from Luqua in May 1949. I assume it is ex-RAF serial.

    Franek,

There is a short life history of KP211 on aviationinmalta.com under G-ALVZ

I am aware of it, and it definitely is not the aircraft.
