Default F/L John W Allann, Allenn, Allan or Allen

    Hi
I have found a certain F/L John W Allann, Allenn, Allan or Allen signing a log book in the RPAF back in 1949. The name is deciphered from a rather unclear signature, hence I could not work out the exact spelling. Little doubt he was commissioned during the war in the RAF, but I could not find him in the Gazette. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Solved, John William Allam (150908, ex-1805127). He became a well known test pilot, and I understand that he is still around, is not he?

The interview includes the following, relating to your first post:

REEL 2 Continues: posting to Karachi, Pakistan. Aspects of period as pilot with Communications Flight, RAF in Pakistan, 1948-1949: duties flying VIPs in North West Frontier; being fired on by Fakir of Ipi's forces.

Thanks, I have found the interview and listened to it. Very interesting but brief. It would be good to ask some more questions.
