Default 602 squadron city of glasgow

My late father William Peter Brown-Findlay was born in Glasgow 09/08/1922 and joined the R.A.F. I know that he trained as a pilot in Canada, but failed to get his wings due to cluster headaches when he flew his plane upside down and was grounded. He stayed in the R.A.F and I believe by the end of the war he was a sergeant. When he married in London in December 1947 he was no longer in the R.A.F. Unfortunately I don't know when or where he trained in Canada or when he returned, but what I do know is that he was in a convoy at Liverpool that joined Strathnaver on its way from Gourock and arriving in Bombay 15/08/1944. It was suggested to me that he probably joined the 602 Squadron but I have no proof. Can anyone help with this query?
