    Hello Philippe,

I have found a Law Notice in the Australian newspaper The Argus (Melbourne), date 11.12.44.

PETER CRAWFORD HOLT. Late of Yattendon Lodge, Horley, in the County of Surrey, England, Acting Squadron Leader, Royal Air Force............... Betty Eileen Rolt (his wife), of Yattendon Lodge.

    This is a start.

    Regards

    Finn Buch

Phil, Are those two the complete crew list? I note that 42 Sqn was flying Beauforts in 41. Also Allmond was an Air Gunner. Regards, Terry

    Hello,

Not sure if there is any connection, but I have the following:

    7-10-1941
    No.5 OTU, Chivenor
    Anson I N5197

Broke up in dive and crashed in Morte Bay, N.Devon.

    No further information.

This was Avro Anson N5197 of 5 Coastal OTU Chivenor

2 Royal Navy crew lost too, Oliver David George Manning and Athol Claud Kennedy Smith

Mannings sister was Olivia Manning, poet and authoress whose most famous work was Fortunes of War, serialised on BBC in 1987
