Default Final fate of Lysander L4716

    Hello,

According to http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=16202, the Lysander I L4716 was damaged beyond repair on 13 December 1941.

I found that L4716 was used by 208 Sqn, but it seems to me that at this date this unit was no more using Lysanders operationally and there is nothing about a Lysander loss on this date in the book "Mediterranean Air War, vol 1".

Can someone give the details of the loss of this aircraft, or at least its last unit ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Laurent,

You are right at the time 208 Sq was flying Hurricanes operationally.
I have check ORB for 13.12.1940 (for possible typo) but not flight of L4716 on this date...
Also no luck with searching for L4716 in the other months of ORB (which is not complete).

According to Halley and Jefford 208Sqn flew Lysander I and II until May 1942.

The aircraft appears to belong to the Mid East Comm Flight.
