Default P/O Bernard Buchwald - of No. 316 Sqn?

    The below reference
    http://www.worldwar2exraf.co.uk/MISCELLANEUOS%20notice%20boards/Page%206.htm

includes a request by the Highland Aviation Musuem to identify a number of people from photos; one of these being a P/O Buchwald at RAF Evanton

Could anyone confirm that this is P/O Bernard Buchwald of - at least - No. 316 (Warszawski) Squadron, RAF? My interest origins in the fact, that a Danish P/O Buchwald was in RAF service as well. It seems to me, that this gentleman has "Poland" on his shoulder.

    Kind regards,

I do not understand the request if they have identified the man. Buchwald lives in Poland, so definetelly not your man.

    Franek,
The museum's request is to be contacted by these people including P/O Buchwald, but the person posting the request has never answered my e-mails. I do not think, they know anything but the name.

My request was to know, if the photo displayed is in fact Bernard Buchwald, because then I will be able to rule out that it could be Niels Juul Rysensteen Buchwald, http://www.danishww2pilots.dk/profiles.php?alpha=b&id=17

    Kind regards

    Hej Mikkel,

Think you have an explanation here:

    In Polish:

    http://www.polishairforce.pl/buchwald.html

    In Danish:

    http://translate.google.dk/translate?hl=da&sl=pl&u=http://www.polishairforce.pl/buchwald.html&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=7&ct=result &prev=/search%3Fq%3D%2522Bernard%2BBuchwald%2522%26hl%3Dd a%26sa%3DG

    Best regards

    Thanks Finn,
Given the photo I do not think I'll need translating to get the information, i.e. identification I wanted :-)
