    Hi Henk,

I have checked just in a hurry the RAF Serials book but no luck.
If no one will be able to help you I will try to check it once more during the weeekend.

Thanks Pavel. Don't know exactly which a/c types were on the strength of #5 GTS. If no result for a Master, could it have been a Magister ?
    Regards,
    Henk.

    Henk,

Don't have any loss for 5GTS between Lysander V9376 on 03-Jul & Lysander V9587 on 23-Jul. First recorded loss of a Master was of DL517 on 27-Jul

Possible that the target of your search was not written-off?

    Hi Gents,

Looking at the Form 1180 for DL517 it gives a loss date of 16th July not 27th July as given in AB.

    1 fatality Sgt R Babb RCAF, R/125994

The nationality of Can is scored out and Amer added.

    Regards
    Ross

Thanks Ross, this was the correct serial (I had him under a temp serial number). BABB was an American flying in the RCAF. Crashed Lower Burton near Dilwyn, Herefordshire.
    Regards,
    Henk.
