    Default F/O G.F.J. ALEXANDER, No. 161 Squadron

    Hello

I'm looking for détails about Flying Officer G.F.J. ALEXANDER, who was a Special Duties Lysander pilot with No. 161 Squadron. There are a few mentions of him in "We landed by moonlight..." by Hugh Verity, which confirms he survived WW2. No award listed in "honor the Air Forces" by Michael Maton.

I'm looking for the serial number and individual letter of the Lysander he flew during the night 6/7th May 1944. He brought equipment to France and brought back 3 passengers, one being U.S. P-47 pilot "Bud" Mahurin. The serial is not given in the Squadron O.R.B.

    Thanks in advance

    Joss

Can't help with Lysander serial, but can give you the names of the other two pick-ups.
