582 Squadron sent Master Bomber S/L VG Owen-Jones to AP “E” and he attacked at 2228.5. Deputy was F/L MJ Finlay. The main force was 200 aircraft of 1 Group. I am showing that 405 Squadron sent just 2 aircraft to AP “E” and they were both Blind Illuminators.

    Hi David,

Thank you, AP D was the 3 Group target, plus 60 Lanc's of 1 Group. 405 Squadron did a great job by all accounts.

    Cheers

Based on the the instructions given by the Master Bombers for each AP and comparing it with the Night Raid Report, AP “D” was the Deutsche Werkes.
