    Hello
I found in a Moquito Aces from WWII the figure of it , and found that it was flown by Wg Cmdr I S Blackie Smith CO of No 487 Sqn , leading the unit on the famous Amiens prision raid in FB VI EG-R.
He preferred to fly MM417 EG-T , however and on 26 March 1944, with Navigator Flt Lt R A Nash , he led an attack on coastal defences emplacements under construction at Les Hayes .MM417 was hit by flak during mission and Smith was forced to crash-land at Hudson.
The Mosquito FB VI was wrecked , but the crew escaped without injury ' .
According to ORB 487 Sqdn: (probably) No.116682 Flt / Lt Ronald Alfred MARSH DFC

    Regards Pavel
