    Default Who reported German reaction ?

    Hi,

    What department RAF or otherwise reported on and monitered the German fighter reaction to Bomber Command raids.

    Any pointers welcome.

    I believe that part of the responsibility for this fell to the Y Service, which was a collection of intercept stations which monitored German transmissions and passed signals intelligence back to Bletchley Park (Station X) to be deciphered and interpreted. The output of this data would then be passed to the relevant department within the Air Ministry and then down to Bomber Command. The RAF chain was run from RAF West Kingsdown in Kent. Voice traffic in clear was sent direct to the RAF anything that was encoded or that was in morse was sent to Stn X. Have a look here https://www.bletchleyparkresearch.co...own-y-station/
