Default British Air Attaché, Dublin, 1942-1943

Can anyone give me the forename of the British Air Attaché in Dublin during 1942-1943, please? I currently have him as one "Wing Commander Begg", but none of my resources, including Google searches, identify him any further than rank and surname.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Hello Steve
Just checked the Oct 1945 AFL and the only 'Begg' that held the Rank of Wing Co is Malcolm Glassford BEGG, M.C. (90430). He is listed as Retired.
The LG shows him as promoted to Wing Co in the Balloon Branch 1.9.41.
He was transfered to Admin & SD Branch as a Wing Co 14.1.42.
Post war he remained in the RAF.
Not a definitive answear but could very well be your man.
    Regards
    Andy

    Default M G Begg

I have some where on my laptop here a clipping from The Times noting that M G Begg was appointed one of the new attaches.

    He is described here:

    http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42370

And run his name through Flight Archives, many mentions, non that link him to Dublin.

Also, run some google books searches for the various name and initials combinations.

He may have been a solicitor after the war (from a London Gazette search) and was connected to the British Argentine community and was born there if my memory serves me correct. Again, this will be come apparent from the Google and Google books searches.

    Regards
