Default Flt Lt Butcher (151 , 264 , 206 Sqdns) - RAF, Air India, IAF

I am trying to find out the full name , number and rank of "Flt lt Butcher" who apparently served with Nos 151 264 and 206 Squadrons.

He had several hundred hours of flying on teh Liberator and later flew with Air India International - In 1948 he was tapped to provide flight instruction on the Liberator bomber that were being overhauled for the Indian Air Force.

There is also a mention of him wearing "Wg Cdr ranks" -though whether RAF or an honorary IAF rank is up for question..

    Jagan,

There was a W/O BUTCHER on No.151 Sqd., Jan-May, 1943, he was a member of "A" Flight. His Nav was one Sgt Spencer.

    http://www.151squadron.org.uk (see: World War II/1943.

W/O Butcher was scrambled on 3 January, 1943, Hull A/A/Weather precluded interception.

No.151 Sqn ORB might provide a service number.

Too many Butchers in LG to locate a probationary commissioning.

    Col.
