    Hello,

    29-4-1943
    No.24 Sqn
    Hudson IIIA FH307

The aircraft had left RAF Hendon and was scheduled to land to RAF Portreath, to be refuelled before making the flight to Gibraltar and onwards. However, weather coditions at Portreath were poor and it was decided that the aircraft should stage through RAF Chivenor instead. On the approach to land, the aircraft stalled, entered a spin and crashed 1m NNW of Chivenor.

Hi there I note this thread from a few weeks ago. I have been speaking to someone today about looking for the crash location, local to us here. Some land girls went to see it apparently, but not pleasant

42718 F/L (Pilot) Gordon Leslie MACINTYRE DFC RAF was my mothers first husband and father of my older brother G.L. MacIntyre of Courtenay B.C. Canada. Can I post pictures of him here?
