    AUSTRALIA.

    261513 S/L George Beresford GRANT RAAF.

    261513 S/L (A&SD) George Beresford GRANT MA (Cantab), RAAF (ex-RAAF Staff School, Point Cook, Victoria), was officially discharged (on medical grounds), from the RAAF on 16 September, 1944. George Beresford Grant died of an unspecified illness at Gloucester House, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, on 10 September, 1946. Grant was for some time in charge of the London Depot for RAAF reception in England.

    A little more on the following:

    ROBERTS, Gwendoline Margaret - ACW1c - 452655 - the National Probate Calendar confirms that she died at the R.A.F. Hospital at Halton.

    MATHER, James Leonard - AC2c - 2286120 - the Yorkshire Evening Post of Spetember 11th 1946 reported the following:

    TOPCLIFFE FATALITY
    James Leonard Mather (24), R.A.F., stationed at Topcliffe, was fatally injured by an Army vehicle today while walking from Busby Stoop towards Topcliffe. Mather lived in Wythenshawe, Manchester.


    WATSON, Alexander Hodge - AC2c - 3023994 - the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website records that he died at 7.25 a.m. at Dundee Royal Infirmary, due to subacute bacterial endocarditis and a pulmonary embolism.

    WILLIAMS, Alfred - LAC - 1207106 - there's an Alfred Williams, aged 39, registered at Bromley, Kent.
