    Default Malcolm's RAFWEB Site

Anybody know what's happened to Malcolm's RAFWEB site? I'm getting severe "red screen" warnings from Microsoft Defender that RAFWEB is currently "Unsafe".
    TIA

    Working fine for me Peter.

Might be due to my not using Microsoft, of course...!

    Hi Peter

    Working okay for me.

Losing that site would be a massive loss.

Works fine for me too. Those warnings are useless anyway, a lot of the times even false. I wouldn't pay them all that much attention if you're applying reason while on the site.

    Hi Peter

I'm currently going through RAF Service Records on FindmyPast and after so long I get a red warning from Norton, so I open a new tab and re-enter the URL and it clears the problem until the next time.

Have you tried using another browser, I use Firefox for those sites IE doesn't like from time to time

    Peter

I've just tried opening my site on my new laptop and have also immediately received a 'Red Screen'

I am currently investigating and having removed the hit counter now get the site to load in IE successfully, so try it now

    Malcolm (et al),
Tks all yr replies. But they all seemed to indicate that the site was OK. This, in its turn, meant that it was just ("I didn't do a thing, Your Honour!) me!!!
However, Malcolm's recent would seem to indicate that I am not alone in suffering a nasty attack of 'Red Screen'. I am much relieved - it's probably not my fault!
If you go into the sub-screens there's a drop-down box for you - as The Site Owner - to tell 'Them' that it's all OK.
We can do without this sort of nausea. Causes us ancients to have the conniptions!
    Still get a Red Screen!!

    Hi

I'm just tried it again on my laptop and am still getting the red screen in IE but trying it in Firefox I found no problems. I am also getting the red screen in Microsoft Edge but don't get it in Chrome so the problem seems to be with Microsoft

    Hi All

To bring you all up to date, I've just put the phone down having spoken to the hosting company (Go-Daddy) and the problem is that my site doesn't have a SSL Certificate and by the end of the year all browsers will be showing the 'Red Screen'

However, I've purchased the relevant certificate and it should be up and running in about 24 hours so hopefully no more 'Red Screens' after that.

If anyone still experiences problems after tomorrow, please let me know.

Peter - thanks for flagging it up in the first place.

Update - I've just received the confirmation e-mail which quotes up to 72 hours to become effective, so give it a bit longer before reporting any problems, if any

The URL for the secure website is https://rafweb.org
