    Hi Chris,
An extract from Llanbedr’s ORB on 9th August ’42 states that “F/O Ball (High Ercall) arrived in a Typhoon and gave a demonstration flight.” From the Sqn ORB, this a/c was R8650. Would you be so kind as to confirm that this a/c was ‘N’ at that time? I’m trying to collect serial/code tie-ups of Typhoons that were at Llanbedr, including the units that were there on APC in early ’44. Not very successful so far!!!
    Thanks
    Ian

Default F/Lt Geoff Ball (RAF), 182 Sqn, 19 Aug 43

In the 182 Sqn ORB for 19 Aug 1943, F/Lt Ball was listed as "missing" in an operation over France.

What was the fate of F/Lt Ball? Was he taken POW, was he killed on this operation? Did he survive the war?

Thank you - very much - for all assistance.

    John, Hi,

If this is the same bloke, then he seems to have survived WW2!
