Default F/Sgt. Robert (Bob) Hind WOP/AG 18Sqn Blenhiem

The above airman was lost off Northsea (I think they mean North Sea)near the Dutch island Schiermonikoog and local Dutch people are planning a memorial next year.

They would like to find any living relatives to attend the event, but as the body has never been found, it's not easy to trace his place of birth. If anyone can find anything, like a service number, I can advise the Dutch of how to obtain service records etc. This will hopefully lead to placing an article in the local paper from that area.

Thanks Dave, remarkable speed. I've informed the Dutch and if I hear that they have found a living relative or have a ceremony , I'll post again with more info.

    TA,

Just as an aside in the event you have similar queries in the future, a good starting point is the CWGC, for example see https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/c...ert-frederick/ . I hasten to add that the basic family details as provided in this instance are not always given.
